PELLETS
Glass pellets are small, solid, pillow-shaped pieces of glass, which are used as a semifinished input for further processing. End products include rovings and chopped strand, as well as our own glass microfiber. In addition, our glass pellets are creatively used in the construction industry for decorating wall surfaces, and in hydroponics. The pellets are mechanically formed directly from the raw material, which is melted in a gas-heated furnace. LFI offers glass pellets composed of A-glass (low boron), B-glass (borosilicate), and C-glass (acid resistant). We can also vary the chemical composition of our glass to meet the special requirements of our customers. Our team has decades of experience in handling glass materials. With our knowledge and efficient pellet manufacturing techniques, we ensure our customers as well as ourselves a flexible, but also consistent basis for fiber production.
